What Not to Say to A Vendor

Never tell a vendor...


... how much you're willing to spend

... they're a "strategic partner"

... you LOVE or NEED their product

... they're the only ones being considered EVEN if they are

... you prefer their product over the competition

... the bids you received from other vendors

... you are new to negotiations

... their price is reasonable

... you will "start" with their contract


or ANTHING that could give them leverage during negotiations
